Gali Paranthe Wali
The one place in Old Delhi that is sure to increase your appetite by just its name is ‘Paranthe wali gali’. It literally means ‘bylanes of fried bread’ and these bylanes are filled with the smell of ghee, pickles, chutney, raita and what not. Gali Paranthe wali has a charm of its own. Situated in Chandni chwok, as soon as you enter this lane, one is left with a variety of eateries to choose from. Either side of the road is filled with small shops, selling various different types of parathas. This gali is small, crowded and always full of life. There are many ways to enter the gali, one can come from Dareeba, another way is from Maliwada through Nai sadak. Another way is through Moti Bazaar via Tirah mali waha. This market is open through the week and closed on Sundays.
