Layallpur Waale
The famous Standard Sweets, better known as Layallpur Waale, after the Pakistani village from where the founder came to India in 1946, is now run by his grandson.
A few quick questions to the customers and you’ll know that some of them have been Layallpur loyalists for more than two decades, recounting how Layallpur Waale have been delivering Sunday breakfasts to their homes and catering at family weddings.
Layallpur Waale are known for their mouth-watering dishes —chole puri, chole bhature, matar kachori, dal kachori, aalo sabzi, vada pav, nagori halwa, malpua and lassi—all made in rich desi ghee.
