Nai Sadak Bazaar

By on February 13, 2014

Nai Sadak was known by the English as Ajartan Road. As one walk in Chandni Chowk towards the south of Ghanta Ghar, one is led to Nai Sadak. In the 19th century, this market used to be a bright and lively market with shops and vendors lining along the street, calling out to customers to make sales. Back then, this market was popular for watchmakers and tailors. Even today, a number of tailors have their shops in this market, which is also popular for showrooms of lehenga-chunni, salwar suits and second-hand books. The closest Metro station to Nai Sadak is Chawri Bazaar.
